Charity Dodd is a Content Manager for LINC, the Learning Innovation Catalyst. Before joining LINC, Charity worked for 15 years as a public school teacher and School Counselor in Ohio. She managed a digital learning program for her district’s most at-risk students in middle and high school. Charity is trained as a social and emotional learning and wellness facilitator and a certified yoga instructor to empower educators and students enhance well-being. She has been coaching educators across the country and presenting instructional strategies that allow teachers to meet the needs of all their students. Eric is a recognized professional development and educational technology expert, who has presented at countless events, including ISTE, NJECC, and the NJ Science Teachers Convention. Eric was named the 2016 Biology Teacher of Year by the New Jersey Biology Teachers Association and recently completed his EdD in Leadership in Digital Transformation in Educational Technology.
Nick Johnson
As co-host of GotTechED the Podcast, Nick has teamed up with his long-time friend and officemate, Eric Guise, to share his educational technology expertise with teachers around the world. Nick is known for his Flipped Classroom teaching style and loves coming up with out of the box methods of teaching his students. In addition to GotTechED the Podcast, you can find Nick as a presenter at events such as ISTE, NJECC, and the NJ Science Teachers Convention. Nick has earned a Master of Science in Educational Theory and Practice and was recently selected as a 2018 Governor’s Educator of the Year and the 2018-2019 Mercer County NJ Teacher of the Year.

Curtis Valentine is Co-Director of the Progressive Policy Institute's Reinventing America's Schools Project. Curtis comes to this position with over 20 years experience in local, state, federal, and international education. Curtis currently serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland, School of Public Policy and as At-Large member of the Prince George’s County (MD) Board of Education, the 20th largest school district in America. Curtis is also the founder of Real Men Teach, a national campaign to recruit and retain male educators of color.

Eusebius Williams has been a science teacher for the past 24 years and loves it. In high school he was considered a "nerd jock" which led him to the wonderful world of science. After High School he went on to play college football and track. Even though he loves athletics, his love of science always seems to rise to the top. He think science is a wonderful vehicle for students to achieve their goals.
Cartier Scott
Cartier Scott was born and raised in Riviera Beach Florida. Since he was young he knew he wanted to make a difference in his community. He graduated from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in education. He has been teaching high school math and coaching track for 9 years. He also has been a mentor for the nonprofit organization Connect to Greatness for 6 years.
Jamelle Murray
Jamelle Murray is a native of Delray Beach, Florida, and a product of Title I schools. He graduated from Western Michigan University and returned home to Delray Beach in an effort to reach and encourage the youth in his city. He has been an educator for 11 years spending eight at Carver Middle School and the remainder at Atlantic Community High School in Palm Beach County.

Discourse Can Come Alive When You Use Partner Solve and Scribe!
Want your students to be more intentional in their listening? Join us as we share a new routine, “Partner Solve and Scribe”, that amplifies students’ identities as capable learners, while teaching collaborative skills that transfer across curricular subjects. Participants will engage in the routine from a student lens, watch a video of students participating in it, and analyze it from a teacher perspective. You will leave with a plan in place to enact this routine in your classroom.

No Armor Needed: Creating a Sense of Belonging for Every Student
In this student-facilitated session, participants will learn from the Mason High School Inclusive Excellence Student Leadership Team about ways to create a sense of belonging for every student. Participants will learn from students about considerations for the learning environment and collaborate with their colleagues on how they can create a learning environment where every student feels like they can leave their armor at the door and be their full self at school. Participants will take away practical strategies and helpful resources for creating a sense of belonging for every student in their own schools/districts.

In this role she provides strategic leadership in the area of Inclusive Excellence for the district, proactively integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion into decision making, learning experiences, and implementation of district goals. Bringing twelve years of classroom teacher and teacher leader experience, Soroya functions as a cross-curricular, district-wide team member who supports administrators, Teacher Leaders and teachers in creating equitable, inclusive school communities that reflect the Inclusive Excellence principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice. Increase Student Engagement; Decrease Teacher Workload
Increase your capacity to establish classroom routines that increase student agency and ownership of their learning. Test drive apps that promote deeper learning and decrease teacher prep time. First, dive into the why, what, and how classroom routines contribute to a healthy environment that builds a sense of belonging for all students. We will look at the connections between routines, social-emotional learning, and culturally responsive teaching. Then, explore low-prep and no-prep high-impact activities that teach content and noncognitive skills and reinforce executive functioning skills. We will examine and build upon your current classroom routines by exploring beginning, middle, and end activities for a range of learning environments. Finally, curate a library of go-to activities that decrease your prep time and increase student engagement. Examples include integrating content knowledge and community-building into daily check-ins, learning routines that encourage collaboration, and establish students as owners of their own learning journeys.

Rachael Havey serves as Senior Director of Professional Learning at Cognia. In this leadership role, Rachael supports institutions in all areas of professional learning and school improvement, as well as organizes and implements professional learning opportunities. An experienced trainer, presenter, and facilitator, Rachael has presented in many local, regional, and national conferences, including those hosted by AdvancED, Cognia, the Indiana Department of Education, National Title I, Indiana Non-Public Schools, and Florida Charter Schools, and has trained and facilitated many active work sessions for teachers and administrators at all levels. In addition to working as a classroom teacher, department chair, team leader, and building level coach, she has worked on school improvement at the state level assisting intervention schools and managing federal funds and programs for school improvement grants.
